Challenge presented....

To all of my readers, or anyone who is bored enough to read this self indulgent blog. I came to a decision last night. That if this is going to truly be my last year of travelling, its time to really enjoy a country which I live in. So the challenge dear reader is you have to give me direction, I will go where ever you want me to check out museums, go and see historical sites and yes check out bars for you.
Just let me know in the comment sections below.

14 days, 1 hostel and a hell of alot of sushi.

So thats it 14 days into my Liberec adventure I've been sick with the flu (oppupational hazard apprantlly when teaching english to children.) I've explored alot of Liberec and almost lost a toe to frostbite (Slight embellisment, its just bloody cold at night!) Work is good it's just the waiting to find things out which annoys me so much but everyone is lovely and you can't argue with that! I just cannot wait two days until I move into my flat and I am looking forward to meeting all the new kids that I will be teaching apparently they have special needs but no one will clarify if that is the English meaning of the phrase or bad translations!! Signing off for now if any of my readers and yes I think I have some thanks to bloggers viewing app, has been to the Czech republic let me know places you want to see and u will go and so some reviews and take pictures. So dear readers my life your hands lets see this go tits up!!!

9 days in....

So this is it I’m in Liberec, I have been here since 17th of September its now the 27th! So ten days of the Czech Republic, so what can I tell you? Apparently after 9 days of being here I found a lovely apartment where I have to share and apartment with four Czech students, whom can barely speak English but hey who’s to judge. So on Monday I officially start my actually job after two weeks of doing cover for a teacher from Maine.
So that’s it Liberec is a quiet little city (by English standards a town) but it’s very nice. Time for a little Liberec run down, Liberec is a city in the north of the Czech republic about an hour away from Prague by car and an hour and a half by bus. Its around 70km to the Polish and German borders, and has two major factory’s Skoda   (which is being mispronounced in the UK, and is actually pronounced as Schoda.) and the Pilsner factor which does not in anyway look like a factor and is more of a converted castle. Liberec is made up of two sections the old town and the new town. Thank god that my work and my new apartment is in the old town because otherwise I would be facing an eight month stretch in Liberec in communist style council estates (that’s not a judgement its more a question of personal tastes I guess.) The old town is beautiful, you can see the medieval and German influences and its great it has trams for cry sake like old style timey wimey trams. Obviously considering the fact that I have essentially worked everyday since I got here that hasn’t been much time to explore. However one thing which I have re-discovered from my youth which I know you of the Cunningham’s who read this blog will mock me for is Borsch essentially cabbage soup which well is amazing and keeps you very regular.  Anyway when I learn more about my new home I will impart my new wisdom to you my new and hopefully loyal readers.

I've had the idea to set this blog up for a while, yes its corny and yes its ever so 90's. You know what though I love to write, I adore the romantic notion that I'm sending messages out into the universe. Messages that someone a million miles away may read....

Heres my life up until now, grew up in a small town that was okay. Moved to Manchester that was were I became myself loved every second of it. Spent a lot of time in Paris because of some latent need to be french. Moved around abit and finally ended up in Istanbul for 6 months. Now I have been offered a job in the Czech republic and you know what I cannot wait it will be amazing and I would truly relish it.
